Moody’s Project & Infrastructure Finance team in Australia continues to maintain comprehensive coverage of this evolving market. We are expertly positioned to examine and rate project and infrastructure finance deals in Australia and across the region, with analyst teams located in Sydney, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

When our Project Finance team approaches a deal, it uses a powerful mix of fundamental and structured analysis along with sovereign risk evaluations. For each individual deal, our analysts can identify key risk factors and their appropriate weightings. The result is unique, incisive and unrivalled analysis. In other words, we do not employ cookie-cutter techniques, or assign ratings solely on a set of ratios applied unilaterally across different deals. We know that no two deals are alike.

Today Moody’s rates more than 260 transactions in global project finance. Our ratings coverage of infrastructure financing covers 35 countries. This includes a number of transactions in Asia Pacific in Australian, China, Indonesia, and Thailand. Furthermore, our international experience and methodology ensures the direct global comparability of our Asia-Pacific ratings.

Moody's global Project & Infrastructure Finance team offers several products that provide our constituents with ratings and in-depth research on project financings before they enter the capital markets as well as ongoing monitoring of the projects during construction and operations. Included in the service are pre-sale reports by fax, e-mail, and on Moodys.com. We also hold pre-sale conference calls that provide investors with direct access to the Moody's analysts involved in rating each project. Conferences and Investor Briefings are held each year with Moody's project analysts from all relevant sectors.
