- Ratings of 258 Italian ABS and RMBS securities downgraded; 83 on review for downgrade
  We have downgraded to A2 (sf) the ratings of 258 securities across 170 Italian asset-backed and residential mortgage-backed securities. Concurrently, we have placed the ratings of 83 Italian ABS and RMBS securities on review for downgrade and confirmed the ratings of four Italian RMBS securities. These actions follow our decision to lower the Italian country ceiling to A2, in connection with our downgrade of Italy’s government bond ratings to Baa2 on 13 July... Press Release

- 12 notes from five Italy-exposed CMBSs downgraded
  We downgraded the ratings of 12 notes from five CMBS exposed to assets located in Italy. This action was prompted by our decision to lower the Italian country ceiling to A2 from Aaa on 13 July 2012 and the increased risk of asset performance deterioration. In particular, the default probabilities of the underlying loans at the point of refinancing are driven by constrained commercial real estate lending and low investor demand for assets in Italy... - 15 Italian structured finance transactions downgraded
  We downgraded the ratings on seven Italian ABS and two CLO transactions directly linked to the ratings of the Italian sovereign and sub-sovereigns. We also downgraded the ratings on six structured credit securities linked to the ratings of Italy and Unicredit SpA. The rating actions follow our downgrade of Italy's government bond rating to Baa2 from A3 on 13 July 2012, the subsequent downgrade of the long-term issuer and debt ratings of 23 Italian sub-sovereign entities on 17 July 2012, and our downgrade of Unicredit SpA on 16 July 2012...
