  • Systemically important designation still unclear for asset managers and money funds
    The Financial Stability Oversight Council has issued a final rule and interpretive guidance outlining the process for designating systemically important non-bank financial institutions. These lay out the procedure and factors it will consider in making SIFI designations, though quantitative thresholds are expected to evolve further and effectively are non-binding.
