      In our latest edition, we highlight our cross sectional analysis of the French, Italian and Spanish securitisation markets in 2017. For RMBS, we analyse some of the underlying factors effecting the Spanish and Irish property markets. Within credit card ABS, we look at UK ABS transactions and how their credit card receivables are backed by strong sponsors, which are typically more creditworthy than other European counterparts.     • Moody's Credit Insight: Performance of UK RMBS and ABS using Brexit macroeconomic scenario
      In our latest research, we used Brexit to derive a downside macroeconomic scenario, in order to test its effects on the performance of UK RMBS and ABS. Our analysis showed that the largest negative credit effect would be on mezzanine and junior notes in non-conforming RMBS, while other RMBS sectors and ABS would have more credit protections...     • More innovation required to thaw frozen food sales, but at a cost
      We expect frozen food volumes to continue their slow but steady decline, while value growth will be constrained by the low inflationary environment in Europe. This may pressure the sales volumes and profitability of rated frozen food companies. We expect frozen pizza to continue to outperform the other frozen food categories because new product launches will support sales and volumes. Initiatives aimed at promoting the benefits of frozen food have aimed to change common public misconceptions about the category but frozen food volumes will probably continue their slow but steady decline unless there is a step up in innovation across the entire product category...
