ASIA PACIFIC WEEKLY
17-24 June 2015

In this week’s Asia Pacific Weekly, we examine offshore renminbi bond issuance in 2015. The driver for sustainable growth of the market is the increasing recognition and penetration of the renminbi globally. In this regard, we maintain our expectation that there will be moderate year-on-year growth in offshore RMB bond issuance in 2015.

We also highlight two first-time launches of covered bond programs; DBS Bank Ltd established Singapore’s first covered bond program on 16 June and Kookmin Bank launched Korea's first covered bond program on 12 June.

We have also published our latest banking system outlook on Indonesia.

And on the events front, our Asia Pacific Banking Conference will be held in Hong Kong on 7 July and in Singapore on 10 July. For a full list of our upcoming events and replay links, please refer to our event section below.

Finally, the Asiamoney FX and Fixed Income Poll 2015 is now live, with polling taking place until July 10. If you would like to vote for Moody’s, please go here. We appreciate your continued support.
