Moody's Investors Service
ASIA PACIFIC WEEKLY
Mar 15 - 22, 2017

This week, among others, we have published various reports across a broad spectrum, both geographically and sectors.

We report on how non-bank financial companies in India will show broadly stable asset quality, but delinquencies will likely rise over the next 1-2 quarters following demonetization.

We expect that additional spending by the state government of South Australia for its new energy plan could increase the budget deficit, but the state has the financial flexibility to fund such increased costs.

Malaysia's A3 issuer rating and stable outlook balance a resilient economy against structural fiscal challenges posed by the trend deterioration in revenue, as well as signs of weakening institutional
strength.

The marketplace lending sectors in both China and the US show differences in development and prevailing characteristics, while both have also experienced governance and misconduct issues.

The credit profile of rated Korean non-financial companies will remain stable over the next 12 months, supported by broadly stable financial leverage, and despite uncertain domestic politics.

And on the events front, we will host a briefing next week in Tokyo on the outlook for Japan’s P&C insurance sector.
