Rob Fauber is President & Chief Executive Officer of Moody’s and a member of the Board of Directors. He joined Moody’s in 2005 and has held multiple leadership roles at the company.

Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2021, Rob served as Moody’s Chief Operating Officer where he advanced strategic initiatives across the company. From 2013-2019, he worked in Moody’s Ratings as Head of Commercial and later as President. From 2005-2013, he served as Head of Corporate Development where he expanded the presence of Moody’s global ratings and partnered on the establishment and growth of Moody’s Analytics.

Prior to Moody’s, Rob held roles in investment banking, corporate strategy, and alternative investments at Citi. He started his career in commercial banking at NationsBank (now Bank of America).

Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and his master’s degree from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University. He and his wife have two children. Rob is an avid outdoorsman and adventurer and enjoys running, biking, hiking, and traveling.
