Introducing Moody's AXIS™ Navigator for smarter, faster actuarial modeling

The insurance solutions team at Moody's is pleased to announce the production release of AXIS Navigator, a GenAI-powered assistant designed to help actuarial professionals work faster and smarter using the AXIS Actuarial System.

The launch of AXIS Navigator, a web-based tool that allows users to ask natural-language questions and receive instant, cited responses drawn from the latest AXIS system documentation and knowledge base articles, delivers greater value to our customers.

By integrating over 26,000 help texts and hundreds of knowledge base articles, AXIS Navigator streamlines the search for information, making it easier for users to find what they need and reducing reliance on manual document review or support desk queries.

 

Key features:

  • Comprehensive search: Instantly access the latest AXIS system help texts, knowledge base articles, and user guides.

  • Cited answers: Every response includes clear citations, so users can verify information and explore related content further.

  • Interactive memory: AXIS Navigator remembers prior exchanges within the same conversation, allowing users to refine questions and build upon previous answers.

  • Multi-conversation management: Save, rename, and revisit up to 20 conversations, making it easy to track ongoing work.

  • Multilingual support: Ask questions and receive answers in your preferred language to minimize communication barriers.

  • Secure & private: User interactions are private; AXIS Navigator does not learn from or retain individual user data. Access is controlled via Moody’s Single Sign-On (SSO), and no personal information is logged. 

 
AXIS Navigator is available to all licensed AXIS Actuarial System users as part of standard maintenance—no additional fees apply.

Access it through the homepage here starting today, September 25, 2025. First-time users will be prompted to accept Moody’s Insurance Generative AI disclaimer before use. 

 

To help new users get started with AXIS Navigator, here are some best practices to get the most out of this new tool:

  • Frame questions clearly and directly.

  • Use follow-up questions to refine answers.

  • Review citations for accuracy.

  • Rate responses to help us improve the tool.

  • Use AXIS Navigator as your daily assistant for AXIS system-related queries. 

     

We will continue to enhance AXIS Navigator based on user feedback, with future updates planned to expand source data, improve user experience, and introduce new features such as built-in summarization and graphic-based queries.
