Laptop donations to local social services nonprofit
Instead of recycling laptops that had aged out of use in our offices, Moody’s Analytics colleagues based in Brazil found a local nonprofit where the technology could have a second life. These colleagues took the opportunity to live Moody’s values and invest in relationships within their communities.
Team members in the Sao Paulo office donated 54 laptops to Associação Beneficente & Comunitária do Povo (ABCP), a nonprofit which promotes social reintegration, supports homeless people and broadens the worldview of children and teenagers. These laptops will be used in shelters and support houses, where individuals can study, search for jobs and access training with the support of ABCP’s staff and volunteers.
